Experience is so essential for them.<\/label><\/li>\n<li class=\"gchoice gchoice_7_4_1\">\u00a0<label id=\"label_7_4_3\" class=\"gform-field-label gform-field-label--type-inline\" for=\"choice_7_4_3\">Give PST smaller, easier tasks that they can accomplish (pass out paper)<\/label><\/li>\n<li><label id=\"label_7_4_4\" class=\"gform-field-label gform-field-label--type-inline\" for=\"choice_7_4_4\">Provide feedback on what PST is doing &#8211; scaffold like you do with students<\/label><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eager to take over the classroom on day one<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div class=\"gchoice gchoice_7_5_1\"><label id=\"label_7_5_1\" class=\"gform-field-label gform-field-label--type-inline\" for=\"choice_7_5_1\">Provide opportunities for the PST to assume responsibility for routine tasks.<\/label><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"gchoice gchoice_7_5_1\"><label id=\"label_7_5_1\" class=\"gform-field-label gform-field-label--type-inline\" for=\"choice_7_5_1\"><\/label><label id=\"label_7_5_2\" class=\"gform-field-label gform-field-label--type-inline\" for=\"choice_7_5_2\">Allow PST to suggest lessons they might teach next time and give growth feedback after the lesson.<\/label><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"gchoice gchoice_7_5_1\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"gchoice gchoice_7_5_3\"><label id=\"label_7_5_3\" class=\"gform-field-label gform-field-label--type-inline\" for=\"choice_7_5_3\">Remind the students that the PST is a teacher just like the mentor CT so the PST gains authority in the classroom<\/label><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"gchoice gchoice_7_5_3\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"gchoice gchoice_7_5_4\"><label id=\"label_7_5_4\" class=\"gform-field-label gform-field-label--type-inline\" for=\"choice_7_5_4\">Talk to the PST about what their goals are for the practicum and plot out how to accomplish those<\/label><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"gchoice gchoice_7_5_4\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>Very vocal and capable when working with PK-12 students, but timid when speaking with you or other colleagues<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div class=\"gchoice gchoice_7_6_1\"><label id=\"label_7_6_1\" class=\"gform-field-label gform-field-label--type-inline\" for=\"choice_7_6_1\">Share with the PST what the intended outcomes of team meetings are before the meeting<\/label><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"gchoice gchoice_7_6_1\"><label id=\"label_7_6_2\" class=\"gform-field-label gform-field-label--type-inline\" for=\"choice_7_6_2\">Make sure to introduce the PST to colleagues at all meetings<\/label><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"gchoice gchoice_7_6_1\"><label id=\"label_7_6_2\" class=\"gform-field-label gform-field-label--type-inline\" for=\"choice_7_6_2\"><\/label><label id=\"label_7_6_3\" class=\"gform-field-label gform-field-label--type-inline\" for=\"choice_7_6_3\">Bring the PST\u2019s ideas to team meetings and give the PST credit for the idea<\/label><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"gchoice gchoice_7_6_1\"><label id=\"label_7_6_3\" class=\"gform-field-label gform-field-label--type-inline\" for=\"choice_7_6_3\"><\/label><label id=\"label_7_6_4\" class=\"gform-field-label gform-field-label--type-inline\" for=\"choice_7_6_4\">Provide feedback to the PST about their good ideas<\/label><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Very vocal and capable when working with you and your colleagues, but timid when speaking to PK-12 students<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"gchoice gchoice_7_7_1\"><label id=\"label_7_7_1\" class=\"gform-field-label gform-field-label--type-inline\" for=\"choice_7_7_1\">Encourage the PST to interact with some of the more out-going students<\/label><\/li>\n<li class=\"gchoice gchoice_7_7_1\">Arrange for the PST to work 1-on-1 or with small groups at first<\/li>\n<li class=\"gchoice gchoice_7_7_1\"><label id=\"label_7_7_3\" class=\"gform-field-label gform-field-label--type-inline\" for=\"choice_7_7_3\">Allow the PST to have lunch with small groups of students<\/label><\/li>\n<li><label id=\"label_7_7_4\" class=\"gform-field-label gform-field-label--type-inline\" for=\"choice_7_7_4\">Debrief each day providing positive feedback on the PST\u2019s interactions with students<\/label><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"gchoice gchoice_7_7_4\"><strong>Doesn\u2019t want to be there<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"gchoice gchoice_7_8_1\"><label id=\"label_7_8_1\" class=\"gform-field-label gform-field-label--type-inline\" for=\"choice_7_8_1\">Talk with the PST about their career goals and what it means to be a professional<\/label><\/li>\n<li><label id=\"label_7_8_2\" class=\"gform-field-label gform-field-label--type-inline\" for=\"choice_7_8_2\">Check in with the PST\u2019s faculty\/supervisor about the PST\u2019s demeanor in education classes<\/label><\/li>\n<li><label id=\"label_7_8_3\" class=\"gform-field-label gform-field-label--type-inline\" for=\"choice_7_8_3\">Provide constructive feedback on what the PST is doing
